Crocs Brings South Park to Life with Quintet of Classic Clogs

Coinciding with South Park’s comeback to the silver screen, courtesy of a $1.5 billion USD deal ushered in by Paramount, Cartman and company will also return to the footwear game, featuring in a new collaboration with Crocs.

The last time Trey Parker and Matt Stone let their characters loose on a shoe project was in 2022, when adidas commissioned a run of six silhouettes that were each designed to match one of the wacky residents from the fictional town of South Park.

Crocs’ partnership with the animated series treads a similar path, this time aligning with the youth-focused nature of its products by spotlighting the beloved “Boys” and two of the show’s cult side characters, transposed onto five renditions of Crocs’ Classic Clog model.

Leading the pack is a pair featuring the backdrop where Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan have waited for their ride to school every Wednesday at 10:00 pm for almost 30 years straight. Crocs’ Jibbitz play an important role in bringing the South Park family to life — used here in head and full-body format to honour the core South Park crew.

Cartman and Kenny are also the beneficiaries of dedicated designs, alongside Randy Marsh and Towelie, who are all honoured with unique detailing and Easter egg-worthy Jibbitz, finished with their individual likenesses applied to the footbeds.

For the Kenny pair, Crocs’ Classic Clog appears in a lined variant, styled after Kenny’s iconic orange, fur-lined parka, whereas the Cartman and Randy versions opt for modified heel straps, respectively using Cartman’s bobble hat and Randy’s blue workshirt as inspiration for the designs.

The final design captures Towelie’s microfiber makeup, used all-over on the outer face and heel strap of Crocs’ Classic Clog, complete with the character’s “sober” demeanour on the front of each shoe and the “420 friendly” complexion on the pivot point.

Estimated to retail between $80 and $90 USD and available in unisex sizing, the Crocs x South Park collection will release on Friday, September 12 via Crocs’ website and select retailers.
