Nike & Nigo Enlist Levi’s for Latest Air Force 3 Collaboration

Nike and Nigo are still committed to making the Air Force 3 a relevant shoe in 2025, revealing a new collaboration involving Levi’s that introduces another “deep cut” to the duo’s shared lore.

When the long overdue meeting between Nike and Nigo first took place in October 2024, the Japanese designer used the opportunity to shed light on his favourite Nike silhouette, starting off with a patent, multi-coloured version of the AF3 that spoke to his fascination with American media, followed by two pairs featuring pony hair uppers, chosen by Nigo as a sly reference to the same simian creatures that influenced his most well-known venture — a little Japanese outfit called “A Bathing Ape”.

Now Nigo will once again use the Nike Air Force 3 as a canvas to convey another of his personal passions to the sneaker world, unifying his love for denim and nostalgic Nike kicks across two colourways of the Air Force 3 that are set to drop later this month.

The collaboration comes after Nike and Levi’s renewed their own partnership in July, joining forces as part of the Nike Air Max 95’s 30th anniversary celebrations with three colourways of the seminal silhouette, heralded amongst collectors as one of the strongest Nike collabs in recent memory.

A well-documented denim fiend in his own right, Nigo has also enjoyed his collaborative history with Levi’s, sporadically teaming up with the brand to reintroduce bygone styles from its vast archives of American workwear.

Aiming to capture that same magical mix of Swoosh-bound technology masked under utilitarian, heritage-steeped denim, Nike, Nigo and Levi’s have put together two colourways of the Air Force 3.

The “Enigma Stone” colourway displays an intentionally faded appearance, using heavily-washed denim paired with pre-aged suede tabs and stained midsoles to evoke the same feelings of comfort and nostalgia that every fashion head experiences upon finding the perfect pair of vintage Levi’s denim.

If the aforementioned colourway is “after”, the Nike x Nigo x Levi’s Air Force 3 “Olive Grey” undoubtedly takes the mantle of “before” — appearing with raw denim uppers sandwiched between untouched suede overlays, also lacking the patina present on the “Enigma Stone” colourway’s sole unit.

Nods to Levi’s roots as a western outfitter come to fruition via cowboy graphic insoles and white “Levi’s” tags placed on the outer quarters, joined by “Nigo Swoosh” branded heel tabs and special gold-toned lace grills as the latest Air Force 3 updates ushered in by Nigo.

Priced at $150 USD, the Nike x Nigo x Levi’s Air Force 3 is expected to release on Thursday, October 16 via Nike SNKRS.
