Aimé Leon Dore Reveal Suitcase Collaboration with Rimowa

The third instalment of Aimé Leon Dore’s cinematic campaign “Double Mint” has just dropped and besides showcasing more of ALD’s effortlessly cool Summer ‘24 collection, the brand’s collaboration with Rimowa was officially revealed.

Continuing the story of Khorey and Torey McDonald’s unnamed characters as they embark on a pilgrimage from NYC to Greece, the latest chapter sees the protagonists arrive in a nondescript Grecian town with ALD-branded Rimowa luggage in tow.

We’ve only to look at ALD’s various projects with Porsche to realise that founder Teddy Santis has a clear admiration for German Engineering and much like the special edition Porsche 994 unveiled in April, Aimé Leon Dore’s work on Rimowa’s Cabin Suitcase and Chest further proves the brand’s design prowess outside the realm of clothing.

Only differing in shape and size, both models see Rimowa’s favoured aluminium outer shell painted in ALD’s proprietary green hue, decorated with gold-toned hardware and Italian leather handles. Tying into the campain and paying homage to Teddy Santis’ personal background, the nylon interior shows an all-over print displaying various Greek stamps.

Priced at $3,880 and $2,670 respectively, the Aimé Leon Dore x Rimowa Chest and Cabin Suitcase will be available from ALD’s web and physical stores this Friday, May 24th at 11:00 am EST.
