An Early Preview of Stüssy’s Next Nike Collaboration

Hot on the heels of another sell-out affair with Our Legacy, at least one of Stüssy’s next collaborative projects has already surfaced, teasing another vibrant reworking of a classic Nike silhouette. 

Stüssy and Nike collaborations are always divisive when first teased - largely down to their focus on unheralded silhouettes that only the savviest of Nike collectors are privy to. So far, we’ve seen models like the Air Max 2013, Vandal and Air Flight ‘89 bestowed with Stüssy’s often colourful outlook and the upcoming LD-1000 is no different.

Although various iterations of the simplistic LD-1000 have followed since the OG first released in 1977, the reintroduction of the waffle-soled running silhouette is timed perfectly to roll with the current climate of low-profile kicks ruling the zeitgeist.

We can see various tropes carried over from previous Stüssy x Nike collaborations, such as the woven swoosh and scribbled text on the tongue tag, drawn up in Shawn Stüssy’s signature swirly style.

So far, only one colourway of the collaborative LD 1000 has leaked but if past works are any indication, we can likely expect additional black and hemp colourways to drop alongside this neon green iteration.
