Hoka & Marni Team Up on Puffed-Up Luxury Runners

In the latest edition of “luxury fashion meets contemporary sneakerdom”, Italian label Marni takes the two hour flight to France to work with Hoka on a colourful lineup of puffed-up runners.

After starting the year by pledging allegiance to the “Snoafer” flag with a genre-bending Speed Loafer release that fused traditional footwear codes with its in-house running expertise, Hoka is undeniably a front runner for hottest shoe brand of 2025, now backing up its claim through a luxury crossover with Marni.

Dubbed the Bondi B3LS, Marni Creative Director Francesco Risso has personally reworked Hoka’s Bondi 3 running shoe from 2014 to incorporate bold, single-hued uppers constructed from softly padded polyester, propped up by Hoka’s proportionately chunky rubber outsoles.

The Marni x Hoka Bondi B3LS comes in palettes that take inspiration from the natural world, available in ‘Poinciana’ red, ‘Bracken’ charcoal, ‘Tourmaline’ blue and beige-tinted “Straw” iterations.

Aside from the matching rope laces featured in early imagery, the shoes also come with two spare lace options including tonal flat and multicoloured wide to mix and match shades - as is the Marni way. The childlike crayon-esque box speaks to Marni’s wider goal with its debut Hoka collaboration, which is described by Francesco Risso as a “cloud of colour”, inspired by the pop art stylings of Andy Warhol.

The Marni x Hoka Bondi B3LS will release on April 3 with a retail price of $395 USD.
