Jordan Brand Reveal the Air Jordan 5 “Halloween” for October 17

Seasonal Jordan releases usually fail in the same way: a theme applied as graphics on top of the shoe rather than built into it. The Air Jordan 5 “Halloween” avoids that, and the reason is the silhouette. The 5 already has the parts this theme needs — a translucent outsole, shark teeth on the midsole, and reflective heritage in the tongue — so the work is in material rather than print.
Black suede covers most of the upper, running across the toe, side panels, collar and overlays, and the same dark finish continues through the laces, eyelets, mesh panels, tongue and midsole. Against that, glow-in-the-dark green is applied with restraint: the Jumpman on each tongue, the embroidered “23” near the heel, and the Nike Air branding at the back. The translucent outsole glows as well, which is the detail doing the most to connect the pair to its theme.
Picante Red cuts through the black midsole across the shark teeth, speckled in black throughout, and returns behind the tongues where “XXIII” stitching sits. There are no pumpkins, no bats, no novelty graphics — the theme is carried entirely by the suede, the glow and the icy sole, which is why it will still look like a wearable Air Jordan 5 on November 1.
The Air Jordan 5 “Halloween” (HQ7978-001) releases October 17, 2026 in family sizing through select Jordan Brand retailers and SNKRS, with adult pairs at $215.
