Nike x Off-White AF1 "University Gold" Release Details Confirmed

Teased since early 2020, we finally have an idea of what release details for the Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 "University Gold" look like.

The shoe takes a similar approach to the 2019 Off-White™ Air Force 1 "University Blue" with an all over coloured upper and sole in bright "University Gold" yellow. It also features the same Swoosh detail in foiled "Metallic Silver" as well as the signature Off-White tag and "AIR" branding on the side of the sole.

It was long rumoured that the shoe's release would coincide with the launch of Virgil's upcoming exhibition Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech” at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) in July.

With Abloh having designed a collection of apparel and some limited edition Off-White™ pieces specifically for the event, fans wondered if the shoe might possibly be sold to lucky attendees.

Both Virgil and an official channel for the ICA have since cleared up some of the confusion, confirming that the shoe will drop "soon" via select Off-White™ boutiques and to "follow Nike's SNKRS app" for updates.

The ICA Boston account also teased some related content dropping Saturday 10th July exclusively via the SNKRS app.

A release via Nike SNKRS seems likely after Nike recently revealed details of the roll out for Abloh's "THE 50" dunk collection, being released exclusively via the app this August.
