Patek Debuts Its First Instantaneous Perpetual Calendar Chronograph — 120 Pieces, Made for Milan
Patek Philippe used its Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Milan to drop the 5978P-010, a limited platinum Grand Complication that pairs a hand-wound chronograph with an instantaneous perpetual calendar for the first time in the Patek lineup.
The specs: a 42mm platinum 950 case, about 14.2mm thick, water resistant to 30m, with a diamond set at 6 o'clock. Inside is the hand-wound Calibre CH 29-535 PS QI — 500 parts, 33 jewels, 4 Hz, 55-65 hours of power reserve. The dial is a sunburst navy blue with a textured center, on a composite strap with fabric pattern and Italian flag accents.
Only 120 pieces will be made, created to commemorate the Milan exhibition. It is the headliner of seven limited editions Patek reserved for the Italian market, so expect a scramble and a secondary-market premium well before anyone outside Italy gets near one.
Pricing: Monochrome lists EUR 318,100 including taxes; Patek's own product page shows $337,585. We'd confirm the market-specific figure before publishing.
