Rolex Is Sending Four One-of-a-Kind Gem-Set Daytonas to Phillips London on 28 September

Rolex does not do charity auctions often, and it does not do unique pieces at all in the normal run of things. On 28 September both rules go out the window: four one-of-a-kind Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytonas, one for each season, sell in four lots at Phillips in London. Every franc goes to the Federer Foundation and Re:wild — Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio are both attached, under the Perpetual Planet Initiative.

Spring is ref. 126599 SAVL in 18k white gold, with a chrysoprase dial and lepidolite counters. Eight baguette-cut and three square-cut purple sapphires mark the hours; the bezel carries 36 trapeze-cut purple sapphires, roughly 5.57 carats.

Summer is ref. 126595 SARO in 18k Everose, a turquoise dial with counters in heart of ruby, pink sapphire markers and a bezel of 36 trapeze-cut pink sapphires at around 4.32 carats. Autumn is ref. 126598 TML in yellow gold — a mookaite dial with chrysoprase counters and green tourmalines throughout, bezel also around 4.32 carats.

Winter is the outlier: ref. 126596 SABV in 950 platinum, blue opal dial with lapis lazuli counters, diamond hour markers, and a bezel of 36 trapeze-cut sapphires graduating from blue to fuchsia, approximately 5.57 carats.

All four share calibre 4131 with roughly 72 hours of reserve, Superlative Chronometer certification, and 54 brilliant-cut diamonds (about 0.86 carats) across the lugs and crown guards. Rolex has published no estimates — Phillips runs the sale.
