When it comes to partnerships, size? have a wealth of experience - working with everyone from Nike to Adidas has shown their level of dedication to the ‘story’ behind each release - their upcoming collaboration on New Balance’s 550 is no different.

At this point, everyone should be familiar with the New Balance 550, the once discontinued basketball shoe has recently been given a new lease of life (thanks to Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore) within the sneaker world. With a view to transmute the typically varsity-fresh 550 into something ready for outdoor action, size? have decided to replace collegiate colour-blocking and clean whites with rough suede and life-proof cordura fabrications.

The release adds three new colourways to the 550 archives, favouring neutral-toned hues of olive, grey, brown and beige, each colour scheme is accented with flashes of purple or ‘foresty’ greens. The collaboration only further proves the versatility of the silhouette, as ever, size? have exceeded expectations with a genuinely original take on the New Balance 550 Basketball Oxford.

The size? exclusive New Balance 550 will be available in both men’s and women’s sizing, with a price-tag of £110. The draw to purchase closes on April 7th.
