AAPE BY A BATHING APE has released the latest instalment from its Spring Summer 25 collection, fusing nostalgic vibes with forward-thinking energy that perfectly captures the label’s bold, youth-driven ethos.

Having already released the “AAPE COLLEGE” and “AAPE SKATE” portions of its SS25 collection, AAPE is now looking to the point where western sensibilities and urban culture meet, with its latest offering under the “AAPE HIP-HOP” banner.

Working off a desert-inspired palette featuring shades of deep sand, light apricot and brown, AAPE enhances the old-timey hues of its workwear-rooted assortment with flashes of orange, light yellow, burgundy and floral grey.

Featuring twisted ropes, beer labels, star-patterned cowboy boots and vintage-esque cracked printing, AAPE HIP-HOP is bursting at the seams with elements synonymous with a vision of the “Old West” - included by the brand as nods to the bravery and freedom represented by cowboy culture.

A long-standing staple of the BAPE family is its reimagining of camouflage in new and inventive ways and this time, AAPE recontextualises the military-derived pattern by incorporating arid landscapes, where the brand’s primate mascot is transformed into a cowboy riding through a camo desert.

Highlights from the collection include a 90s-inspired work jacket and pants set, along with houndstooth sleeveless sweatshirts, flat knit shirts and spray-dyed wide-leg jeans.

AAPE SS25 also heralds in new footwear styles - the latest being a duo of AAPENOW Slides in tones of black and military green with the sub-label’s MOONFACE camouflage pattern embossed on the forefoot panel and AAPENOW logos embedded at the heel.

AAPENOW’s chunky Galaxy sneaker is also reprised in seasonal spring colours - slotting into the wider western theme with new ‘denim’ and ‘tawny port’ makeups featuring striped sidewalls and exaggerated toe and heel caps.

One of the headline collaborations from AAPE’s SS25 efforts is its latest capsule collection with Fairtex — the homegrown Thai boxing brand that has been a leading supplier in the sport for nearly 70 years.

Covering all one needs for a handy Muay Thai session, the AAPE x Fairtex collab spans special edition gloves, shorts, plus a black tee and a camouflage hoodie that both sport a cartoonish rendition of an “AAPE vs Fairtex” scuffle.

The latest instalments from AAPE’s SS25 collection are available to shop now via the BAPE website.
