Hidden.ny has emerged as the latest indie streetwear brand to be enlisted by Umbro to reinterpret its footballing heritage from a contemporary angle, revealing a capsule that plays on Hidden’s propensity for exploring the “past, present and future” of its chosen subject matter.

This time, said subject matter is “the beautiful game”, better known as “Soccer” to Hidden.ny’s main contingent of American moodboard enjoyers, who have previously been treated to collaborations with Salomon, Needles and Clarks, to name a few.

Bold yet nuanced graphic imagery is a key component of Hidden.ny’s brand persona, often running with an intersection of anime and outdoor-related cues, mixed in with technical drawing and multicultural nods.

All of the above are essential to the debut Hidden.ny x Umbro collaboration, featuring prominently on each of the graphic tees and sweats in the collection. Colour-wise, Hidden’s signature green hue is set against black and white backdrops, with flashes of electric blue scattered throughout.

The drop also offers refined, sporty takes on the Hidden.ny x Umbro branding, covered via tracksuits, shorts, and a white crewneck sweatshirt featuring Umbro’s logo in a chlorophyll shade at the chest centre.

Hidden’s best-seller socks also make an appearance, updated to include Umbro’s Double Diamond insignia alongside its primary initial — a visual theme that runs deep throughout the collection, from standout graphic jerseys to gloves, and even a special-edition Hidden.ny x Umbro football.

The Hidden.ny x Umbro collection releases on Friday, September 12 via the Hidden.ny webstore at 15:00 EST.
