Laguna Steeze Meets Sporty London Flair in Debut Stüssy x Wales Bonner Collaboration

One of the most inevitable collabs in streetwear has finally come to fruition, as Stüssy and Wales Bonner deliver their first-ever fusion of Laguna steeze and globally-informed London flair.

In preparation for their debut project, Stüssy and Wales Bonner have taken notes from various corners of the world, citing the white sands of Ghana’s Labadi, Tokyo, California’s Santa Ana, and the coastal community of Bull Bay, Jamaica, as the overarching sources of cultural inspiration for what they describe as a “worldly take on Beatnik style”.

Redefining the beatnik aesthetic to suit their street-inclined audiences, the brands have arranged a mix of tailoring, vibrant sportswear, and casual everyday articles, underscored by simple co-branding and a special World Tour graphic that honours the aforementioned locations on tees, a pinstripe oxford shirt, and the linings of the easy-faring nylon windbreakers.

Nods to Stüssy’s roots as a skate/surf outfitter come through via swim shorts, a neoprene “Stüssy Sport” hoodie, and a beach sarong designed in collaboration with British graphic savant Peter Miles.

Perfect for post-surf relaxation, Stüssy and Wales Bonner bring sporty detailing and textural depth to items like the knitted pullover hoodies, pink mesh track pants, leopard print crewneck, and velvet script cap.

More examples of Wales Bonner’s penchant for androgyny and multicultural reference points are highlighted on the “bark brown” leather jacket and printed silk polo shirt, which are complemented by a blazer crafted from Loro Piana doeskin wool and folky denim shorts and jeans decorated with metal studs.
