adidas x C.P Company FW24 Collaboration Release Details

C.P Company and adidas SPZL are reuniting for the FW24 season, enlisting UK cultural forces to showcase an all-encompassing collection made up of cross-sectional three-stripe shoes and technical clobber that put simply, is a football hooligan’s dream.

Both adidas and C.P have acted as two of the most prominent outfitters in European football culture since the 1980’s and collaborations involving the two have become increasingly common since their partnership debuted in 2018, never failing to strike a chord with the terrace faithful come drop day.

As C.P ramps up collaborative exploits, even managing to acquire a contract as Manchester City’s official “fashion partner”, the brand is arguably more popular than ever. SPZL’s relevance on the global stage does not go unnoticed either, parlaying the hype garnered from the adidas Samba’s resurgence into bigger and better SPZL collections thanks to creative director Gary Aspden, who has helmed the “HMS SPZL” since its inception in 2014.

For their latest trick, SPZL and C.P have enlisted UK cultural icons like Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters and Goldie, alongside prominent adidas collector Robert Brooks and fellow enthusiast/ jewellery maker Toby Mclellan to showcase the capsule, which spans six footwear models, two jackets and a concise selection of apparel and accessories.

Combining the Wimberly, Italia, Hellevyn, SL83 and Manchester, adidas SPZL lead Gary Aspden has once again emerged from the adi-archives with a stellar array of three stripes models, each representing different eras in terrace culture, ranging from the sleek leather Italia to the functional aura of the Hellevyn.

The Wimberly; which is inspired by an elusive vintage adidas model, called the Universal, is the only silhouette out of the pack to receive two seperate makeups, swapping between pale leather and soft brown suede, each bearing the same taped webbing stripes and tongue branding.

In C.P’s area of expertise, the brands have devised two jackets styles that are both steeped in functional military-inspired heritage of Massimo Osti’s brainchild, where worlds continue to collide on the corduroy tracksuit, co-branded accessories and apparel.

The latest adidas SPZL x C.P Company collection will be available on Tuesday, November 12th via adidas’ website.
