Aminé Unveils Latest New Balance Collaboration

Portland-native rapper and all-round jawn enthusiast Aminé has unveiled his latest project with New Balance, this time imparting a colourful design outlook onto the New Balance 740v2.

Aminé's non-conformist approach to music and fashion, which translates perfectly into the anti-hype New Balance brand makes for a perfect company + collaborator pairing and following the success of their debut run of ’Mooz’ or banana, 610s in 2023, it was only a matter of time before another ”Aminewbalance” project hit release calendars.

In what Aminé has dubbed the 740v2BTEE, the artist pays homage to Benson Polytechnic High School - the institution where Aminé first released being a career musician was possible, specifically in the school’s Radio KPBS program that allowed Aminé to cut his teeth before going solo into the business.

Borrowing the school’s team colours, the 740v2 is dressed in shades of blue and orange, with signature tongue branding and outdoor-inspired laces included as calling cards of a typical Aminé x New Balance project.

More ‘Benson Tech’ imagery appears on the heel tabs, insoles and shoe box.
