A Bathing Ape and Vans are back together for the height of Summer ‘24 to release a staple selection of collaborative kicks.
BAPE x Vans link-ups have become inevitable no matter the time of year, although summer is undoubtedly the perfect stage for both entities to lean into their colourful sides and the Old Skool & Sk8-Mid featured in the capsule do just that.
Starting with the ionic low-cut skate stalwart, BAPE gives the Old Skool a modern twist thanks to three hues of ABC camo dressing the uppers. Besides revolving between the outer and inner of the left and right-footed shoes, the classic green-tinted print also comes into play on the special-edition tongue tag and classic waffle outsole.
The Old Skool’s toecap is host to another BAPE Hallmark, in the form of the brand’s shark motif that adds an extra layer of aggressive padding to the design.
The Sk8-Mid favours BAPE’s archetypal camo of choice over the blue or pink versions present on its drop-mate but still includes the same Ape Head lace charms, toe box embroidery and Vans Sidestripe with the integration of BAPE’s STA logo .
The full Vans x BAPE collaboration will be available via Vans.com and BAPE stores beginning Friday, July 26th.
