CLOT and adidas have teamed up on a fresh collaboration for Summer 25, taking full advantage of the latter’s well-documented involvement in tennis by delivering beach-minded reduxes of the iconic Stan Smith, slotted amongst a referential apparel lineup that brings considered textile updates to court-ready cuts.

Quashing any conjecture that CLOT is committing sacrilege by tweaking with the Stan Smith’s timeless structure, the tennis legend himself gives a nod of approval by appearing in the collection lookbook, captured alongside Korean actress Hoyeon, English skater Blondey, and Formula 1 driver George Russell, who all model the capsule against the backdrop of an “unconventional country club”.

The campaign ensemble is capped off with an appearance from Edison Chen, the founder of CLOT, who shared the following statement on his latest project with adidas:

“The Stan Smith is a silhouette I wanted to explore from the very beginning of our partnership.”

“Integrating an espadrille sole into such a legendary sneaker was a unique challenge, but it opened up new creative possibilities that reflect the spirit of both tradition and rebellion.”

The task of reconfiguring the Stan Smith’s sole unit to resemble a Mediterranean everyday staple clearly didn’t prove too challenging for CLOT, as the final product has come out exactly as Edison Chen had envisioned — available in the traditional “Stan Smith” white & green colour scheme, alongside a black option built from synthetic uppers and finished with lawn-inspired chenille back tabs.

For the apparel portion, CLOT takes exactly the kind of gear that Stan Smith would’ve worn on court during the 70s, such as knitted vests, polo tops and three-stripe shorts, and introduces material choices more aligned to the country club and details synonymous with Chen’s Eastern-informed flair.

The latest CLOT x adidas collaboration is available now via JUICE STORE and select retailers across the globe.
