Coming Soon: Dior x Birkenstock 2023

Polar opposites of the fashion scale are confirmed to be reconnecting for 2023, as Dior and Birkenstock look to instil the daily foot of choice with luxury qualities and colourful spreads once again.

Thanks to Dior’s head footwear wizard Thibo Denis, we now have (half) a look at what the two brands have instore following the success of the initial, genre defying collaboration.

Dior x Birkenstock sits amongst an incomparable run of carefully curated collabs between the luxury French house and the likes of Stüssy, Denim Tears and Jack Kerouac - all of which are instances where Dior opened the gates for otherwise everyman labels to fuse their respective aesthetics with the haute craftsmanship of Dior’s ateliers. 

The previous Birkenstock collab consisted of, but was not limited to, classic mule and strapped-sandal styles that had been patterned with a reinforced construction, woollen uppers and a Dior branded rollercoaster buckle. 

The latest teaser shared by Thibo Denis depicts three versions that are noticeably more colourful than their predecessors, showing yellow, mint and brown monogrammed outsoles that will likely be attached to some luxury uppers sometime in the near future.
