Teaming up with familiar faces New Balance, Nike and ASICS to inject would-be sportswear models with monochromatic colourings, Comme des Garçons and its various sub-labels revealed a number of laid-back (and a few unconventional) footwear collaborations for its contribution towards Paris Fashion Week FW25.

After closing the year with a triple-threat Nike Air Max TL2.5 collab, CdG HOMME PLUS dives back into the archives to emerge with two versions of the Nike Rejuven8 - a 17-year old design originally introduced by Nike as a post-performance model for its athletes at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

CdG’s take updates the Rejuven8 by forgoing the OG’s interchangeable sockliners, in favour of a singular construction comprised of a stretchy base layer shrouded in loose-gauge Flyknit webbing.

Contrasting swooshes are applied on the mid-foot section and midsole.

The other Nike collaboration included in the CdG family’s FW25 lineup came under the “BLACK” banner, working on the Field General 82 to display contrasting swooshes, alongside its own moniker in a warped graphic style.

Next up, Comme des Garçons SHIRT dresses a popular y2k runner in full white, presenting what is potentially the cleanest Gel-Kayano 14 in existence. Again, the only formal branding note from CdG can be found on the insole.

KIDS LOVE GAITE is an eccentric Korean shoe brand founded by London transplant Shintaro Yamamoto, whose sole focus is creating the weirdest possible interpretations of classic footwear styles. CdG first linked up with KLG in 2023 and have now reconnected to deliver derbys and boots with purely decorative toe boxes facing upwards at a 90 degree angle.

Finally, Comme des Garçons HOMME lends its talents to the recently revived New Balance 509, imbuing the model with a new lease of courtesy of full white and silvery-based colourways decorated with CdG HOMME’s classy typeface on the tongue.

All of the above Comme des Garçons footwear collaborations will release later this year.
