Dubai-Based Pakistani Restaurant Ravi and Adidas Unite for a Superstar Collaboration

In a world engulfed by weekly footwear releases and a-lister collaborations, Adidas has chosen to take a turn to the culinary arts. Stepping into the limelight, the brand is bringing kicks and food together into one creative bundle that represents diverse cultures while honoring the restaurateurs that have aided in the creation of one-of-a-kind settings.

Tapping on renowned Dubai-based Pakistani restaurant Ravi, Adidas has chosen to highlight an institution that has held its ground for 44 years and has become one of the city's hidden treasures. Ravi marks the first installation of the sportswear giant's adilicious campaign, working with global culinary creatives to introduce 11 scrumptious gastronomy-inspired silhouettes. 

The family-owned restaurant has crafted its very own limited-edition Adidas Superstar that emulates its deep heritage and cultural roots. Named the "Ravi Superstar," the sneaker sports a premium leather construction with a white base and touches of green representing the Pakistani flag hitting the medial three stripes, laces and heel tabs. The latter is decorated with Ravi Restaurant text on the left shoe in English and the right shoe in Arabic. Additionally, both feature its founding year (1978) below. 

Flip the tongues around, and you'll find a description of six iconic Ravi dishes in both English and Arabic, while sail sole units conclude the design. The collaborative kicks will be delivered in special takeout-inspired boxing, reflecting further foody details. 

The Ravi Restaurant x Adidas Superstar will release as a UAE exclusive and will be available via Adidas and select retailers on June 23.
