Exclusive Look at the Upcoming Bape x New Balance 57/40

Utilising the same prints and graphics as last year’s Bape x New Balance 2002r release, the duo are teaming back up for a more colourful take, this time on New Balance’s 57/40 model.

The collaboration brings about two colourways of the silhouette, which is something of a newcomer to New Balance’s staple offerings. Bape have spread their unanimously recognised camo and shark prints across the shoe - atop the chunky sole sits an ABC camo ‘N’, with shark teeth bared across the shoe’s heel. A bape head sits on the outer-heel panel, with alternating lettering on the left-foot.

The other option is more in keeping with Bape’s traditional approach to footwear, a mismatch of pink, blue, orange and green is presented through suede uppers with even more colours on the ABC camo'd ‘N’. It’s a colour palette reminiscent of early BAPE STAs, and provides an alternative to the former, muted silhouettes we have previously seen from Bape and New Balance.

As these pictures are not official, take everything with a grain of salt, although rumours are pointing to a release within the next few months.
