Hiroshi Fujiwara has participated in an untold number of collaborations over the years, playing a hand in work between Nike x Travis Scott, CLOT’s recent Dunk collaborations, amongst solo outings with everyone from Maserati to Moncler.

Now lending his respected eye to another high-profile threesome, Fujiwara blends luxury with beloved cartoon action in the upcoming Fendi x Fragment x Pokémon collection.

Teaming up with Fendi’s Director of Womenswear Kim Jones, the duo sees in the Year of the Dragon with an accessory-heavy capsule that shows an iconic Poké character infiltrating variations of Fendi monogram bags, hats and more.

Giving Pikachu and Charizard a rest over the holidays, instead, it is the rare Dratini that features in this latest collaborative effort, in all three of its forms on Fendi staples like the Peekaboo, Shopper and Baguette bags.

Some designs have simply been painted over with depictions of the Dratini, Dragonair and Dragonite, whereas others incorporate the anime art style into the construction of the bags, resulting in full face satchels with 3D detailing.

Amidst the Poke-heavy offerings, there are also designs that feature lone white FRGMT branding on brown and yellow bags.

The final standout is the fully handcrafted Dragonite figure that’s constructed from fine leather over a 30-hour process courtesy of Fendi’s skilled artisans. Pokémon is also running a digital campaign via its Pokémon GO app that will grant users a chance to pick up some virtual cosmetics related to the collaboration.

The Fendi x Fragment Design x Pokémon collaboration will be available on January 4th from Fendi’s online and physical locations.
