Gucci Take A Swing at Major League Baseball Collection

After adorning a Gucci Autumn / Winter 2018 collection with some of Major League Baseball's most iconic insignia, the house of Gucci have returned with an official MLB™ collection.

While the maximalist luxury fashion house may seem an incongruous pairing with the sports league, it makes more sense when you consider how the varsity jacket and New Era hat have become contemporary casualwear staples, with most high end brands producing their own take on the styles.

Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele is also notably fond of a New York Yankees cap, having been spotted in them frequently.

The collection teaser promises embellished varsity jackets, lushly coloured embroidered hoodies and caps in luxe finishes including snakeskin and a rich emerald fleece.

The Gucci x Major League Baseball collaboration will be available exclusively via the Gucci Vault from Friday 22nd April.
