HUF x Seiko 5 Sports Limited Edition Release Details

Now that the madness from the Omega x Swatch release has died down, deflating the excitement of seasoned collectors and horology newbies alike, Seiko are taking centre stage in the toy watch world, through their extremely limited collaboration with HUF.

Streetwear’s relationship with the watch industry has been on the fringes for some time, so it’s only right that HUF and Seiko - who are true OGs of their respective fields - would get the cogs whirring once again.

HUF have put their greenish spin on two Seiko 5 Sports models - one of the more popular pieces in Seiko’s vast catalogue. The first, (ref. number SRPJ19) uses a black dial as its base, with ‘vivid green’ HUF lettering matching the second hand - hues which are complimented by a two-tone khaki and green, unidirectional rotating bezel. The real ‘HUFness’ comes into play with a ‘mountain-dew’ coloured caseback, through which you can see all the tiny movements that are powering the timepiece. This design is limited to only 1000 numbered pieces.

Further limited to just 300 pieces, the second novelty is definitely the ‘blingier’ of the two. The SRPJ20 gives off a Soprano turned skater-boy/girl vibe through that ever-opulent combination of a green face, with gold trim - again featuring a transparent caseback. 

Priced respectively at $380 and $420, the Seiko x Huf SRPJ19 and SRPJ20 will be available April 21 at 23:00 (ET) - hit up Seiko and HUF’s online stores for a chance to purchase.
