Jjjjound Closes the Year with Winterised New Balance 2002r

Jjjjound - the Canadian studio at the pinnacle of contemporary minimalism has unveiled its latest collaboration with New Balance, re-upping a winterised take on the 2002r runner.

First featured in Jjjjound’s ninth project with New Balance back in February, the Gore-Tex imbued 2002r released in Spring-appropriate grey and green suede makeups.

Back to reinvent the New Balance wheel following a Samba fling with adidas, Jjjjound’s upcoming New Balance 2002r sees the once pure running silhouette repositioned into a serious wintertime contender, thanks to full black leather uppers and a flash of blue reflective panelling at the heel.

Catering to Jjjjound’s Canadian habitat, the 2002r features a Gore-Tex membrane and is complete with a toggle lacing system as functional reference to the equally rugged Jjjjound x New Balance 990v4 from 2021.
