Timed to one of baseball's fiercest rivalries, KAWS has turned the diamond into a canvas. Created in partnership with Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees, the KAWS x MLB Collection lands as the two franchises meet for a three-game series at Yankee Stadium — reframing a century of storied iconography through one of the most recognisable visual languages in contemporary art.

The Brooklyn-based artist applies his signature "XX" motif and COMPANION character across official team marks, collapsing the distance between the gallery and the bleachers. It is a fitting move for KAWS, whose work has always lived as comfortably on museum walls as it has on the street, and MLB's most decorated pair of clubs hand him two of sport's most loaded logos to play with.

The collection itself spans the wardrobe and then some. Nike handles the apparel — stadium jerseys, tees, hoodies and both fitted and snapback caps, each carrying KAWS' reworked crests — while his COMPANION character turns up on Rawlings baseballs and Marucci bats for anyone who wants the collaboration in hand as much as on the back. Rounding things out is a limited run of Topps trading cards, complete with special parallels and rare, randomly inserted KAWS autographs.

After an in-person debut at Fanatics Fest in New York and early access through the Yankees and Dodgers stadium stores, the full collection — trading cards included — launches globally on July 20. Expect it across Complex.com and the Complex App, Fanatics.com, MLBShop.com, the MLB Flagship store in NYC, and Nike.com and Nike retail, with select Dodgers and Yankees team stores also carrying the range. Prices open around $40 and climb from there, so there's a way in whether you're after a single cap or the full KAWS-signed setup.
