Leaked Images of the Second Union x Jordan 1 High Collab

Amongst the Jordan brand’s army of collaborators, few stand out like Union. 

Considered as one of the founding fathers of streetwear retail, Union has a deep wealth of knowledge to draw on for their plentiful collaborations, which consistently result in sought after Swoosh-bound kicks that hit the spot every time. 

Besides Jordan 4’s, 2’s and Dunk Lows, the most popular fruit to be harvested from the Nike x Union tree is the collaborative Jordan 1 High, which even today fetches well over $1k USD on resale sites. 

For their next trick, Nike and Union are saying “the first time was so nice - I had  to do it twice,” as the two gear up to take on the Jordan 1 High yet again. 

The latest iteration, which comes as a leaked image courtesy of @xcsnkr, shows a white leather upper that’s separated by a line of stitching that is a clear reference to the Nike Footscape - a formative shoe from the late 90’s/ early 2000’s era that was heralded for its form hugging shape and comfort-first design. 

The white/ grey colourway is a proven gem in the Jordan catalogue and when paired with notes from the Footscape, it only propels the already insane comfort of the Jordan 1.

The shoe as a whole is part collaboration, part homage to Bephie’s Beauty Supply - a company owned by the wife of Union founder Chris Gibbs that is referenced by a stitched stamp on the rear, also through the woven detailing that emulates a hair braid.

The collaboration is rumoured to drop this August.
