Leaked Images Surface of Stone Island’s Next New Balance Collab

One of 2024’s biggest sneaker partnerships between New Balance and Stone Island is set to return this season, and if leaked images are any indication, it seems the Italian sportswear icon could be turning its attention to a mainstay model from New Balance’s Made in USA lineup.

After first linking up in 2013 on a lesser-known run of New Balance 577s, the joint Stone Island x New Balance team lain dormant until 2021, when the firms renewed their vows to birth various performance-based runners and lifestyle models.

Their most recent release came in September 2024 and centred around a trio of Made in UK 991v2s inspired by Stone Island’s Ghost range

Barely days have passed since Stone Island posted various teasers confirming a new project with New Balance is underway and already, leaked images courtesy of @rikatastu have surfaced, showcasing product shots of a New Balance 998 bearing Stone Island’s iconic compass rose on the tongue.

The design appears to feature a dark grey suede base with brown under-panelling and a deliberately yellowed midsole.

It’s currently unclear whether the Stone Island x New Balance 998 is a standalone release or part of a broader pack, like earlier collaborations between the two brands.

Expect an official announcement in the coming weeks.
