Leaks Surface of a Potential Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache

Although Corteiz’s most recent link-up with Supreme was somewhat underwhelming, there’s no denying that its debut performance with Nike was one for the books, thanks to the trio of Nike Air Max 95’s that not only sold out on both firms’ websites but also caused havoc on the streets of Paris, London and NYC over various physical activations. 

Now aiming to capture lightning in a bottle once again, it appears Corteiz and Nike are regrouping to reintroduce another hood classic into modern circulation. 

Based on leaked sketches for the upcoming collaboration, Corteiz is tapping into its wealth of street knowledge by tackling the Air Trainer Huarache - a shoe that in the early 2010’s, had the entire youth of England in a chokehold. 

The high-top shape, velcro strap and ankle support cement the Air Trainer variant as one of the most utilitarian Huarache’s to ever release and preliminary designs for Corteiz’s versions show black, green and white colourways with camouflage underlays and the 90’s huarache logo on the tongue. 

The Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache is rumoured to release Fall 2024.
