The phrase “let them cook” has never been more relevant when it comes to sneakers, as the Jordan brand has unveiled a fast-food-inspired trio of Air Jordan 1s.

Born around the concept of combining two of life’s greatest pleasures into one neatly-wrapped, non-greasy package, Jordan’s latest AJ1 pack signifies a welcome break from retros and ultra-hyped collaborations, instead putting the fun back in sneaker culture with its “Cheeseburger,” “Strawberry Milkshake” and “French Fry” Air Jordan 1s.

The release is also an opportunity for Jordan to showcase some intriguing textures and materials, whether its a buttery leather swoosh designed to look like melting cheese, ‘sesame seed’ toe perforation or warped laces that imitate the whipped cream typically found atop a blended combination of milk and ice cream.

Tying together sneaker and fast food culture’s shared values of “something for everyone” - each shoe featured in the pack comes in its own respective size run, with the centrepiece “Cheeseburger” Air Jordan 1 Mid arriving in men’s sizing, whilst the “Strawberry Milkshake” Air Jordan 1 Low is reserved for women’s, and the “French Fry” Air Jordan 1 Mid is available under the big kids’ section.
