Louis Vuitton Release Virgil Abloh-Designed Spring Summer 2022 Menswear Collection

Showed at the Spring Summer 2022 Menswear days after the tragic passing of Virgil Abloh, the clothing and accessories collection has now released via Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton honoured one of Abloh's final wishes by showing the designer's final Spring Summer 2022 Menswear collection last year followed by the recent Men's Fall Winter "Louis Dreamhouse" show which featured the final collection overseen by the designer.

The packed show featured new looks from the Spring Summer collection while also serving as a retrospective of Virgil's past work at Louis Vuitton.

A vast procession of models weaved through trees to a soundtrack of Clipse and more, passing beneath a paper airplane sculpture, referenced on the show invitations.

Michael Burke, Louis Vuitton chairman and CEO, spoke of his sorrow at Virgil's passing, describing him as: "a devoted supporter of his community through his charities and passions (...) an eternal optimist who believed anything was possible". He also expressed that the show was planned to go ahead to honour Abloh's own wishes, and to "celebrate his legacy".

The Spring Summer 2022 collection is available now via Louis Vuitton and select outlets.
