New Balance by Teddy Santis Part 2 Epitomises Seasonal Colouring

Teddy Santis is one name that everyone should be familiar with - sneakerheads and Aimé Leon Dore disciples alike owe many of the past year’s style trends to this man, who has been at the forefront of the great New Balance revival through his creative directorship of their flagship MADE in the U.S.A branch, amongst collaborations between the Bostonian brand and his own New York born brainchild.

After an unprecedented level of success befell the first 16-piece drop, it’s only right that New Balance continues to place their trust in the hands of Mr. Santis, as the two gear up to release the not-so-long awaited sequel to the initial collection.

Dubbed “Season 2”, the sophomore outing introduces a new colourway on generations one-through-three of the 990 range, taking inspiration from the great outdoors with a seasonally appropriate, muted palette.

Officially titled “Grey with Blue”, the colourway used on the three new deliveries is, in fact, much more intricate than the name suggests. The 990v2 and v3 are almost carbon colour copies, with their half-white/ half-aged midsole and grey quarter panels and toe boxes. Hints of deep navy are used on the under-tabs, set above an oaty mesh and sand coloured, hairy suede heel counters.

The 990v1 follows the same design codes, although with less detailing that stays in tune with the minimalism of the first generation of New Balance’s patriotic division.

All of the three styles will be available on New Balance’s USA website on October 27th at 10.a.m EST, priced between $190 and $200.
