Nike Nocta x Kar L’art de l’automobile Debut Racing-Heavy Collaboration
Published: April 15, 2024

While his testy rap beef against Kendrick Lamar & Co. rages on, Drake is taking advantage of the extra rations of hype by releasing his debut collaboration with L’art de l’automobile - the French streetwear brand founded by Supercar dealer Arthur Kar.
No doubt Kar and Drizzy have done plenty of business in the past, however this capsule marks the maiden voyage between the two offshoot brands and masterfully fuses the all-encompassing sporty aesthetic of Nocta with playful racing motifs indicative of Kar’s eccentric aura.
The star of the show is a blue jacket that would look at home in the pits of your favourite race team and is aptly decorated as such. The boxy design employs an asymmetric two-tone pattern across the midsection, highlighted by yellow Nocta embroidery and L’art de l’automobile graphics along the arm.
Technical racing features include the reinforced chinstrap and air vents placed at the shoulders.
Leaning more into Nocta’s technical wheelhouse, the NRG Tech jacket is built from beige, yellow and white panelling with mini Nocta motifs dotted around the back, arms and cuffs. The design comes complete with a stowable, cobalt-coloured balaclava as a nod to both functional racing headgear and bally-donning street youths that adopt the Nocta lifestyle.
Complimenting the jacket is a pair of cardinal yellow track pants that feature the same level of “Noctafication” thanks to initial branding at the calves and a holster strap above the back pocket.
There’s also a stealthy black hoodie that features more shoulder vents, plus graphic tees, a NASCAR-esque cap and branded socks.
The debut Nocta x Kar L’art de l’automobile collection will be available Thursday, April 18th on Nocta.com.
