The One Piece x Nike collaboration is real, it is being run by dotSWOOSH, and the teaser campaign has gone from cryptic to obvious inside a fortnight.
Nike Japan opened it on August 6 with a Swoosh-engraved Poneglyph and the line "Romance Dawn — The Dawn of the Adventure," and .SWOOSH followed with an orange monolith cube planted in Harajuku. The latest spot, out August 19, drops the subtlety entirely: Devil Fruit users on camera, Air Max Plus on feet.
Three pairs, all TN, all keyed to Devil Fruits. The Gomu Gomu (IR0968-500) takes Luffy's rubber powers into Space Purple and Atomic Green. Mera Mera (IW1283-800) runs Brilliant Orange with Vibrant Yellow and Solar Flare. Ope Ope (IW1282-600) goes Very Berry, Green Quartz and Jade Aura. All three are $180 in men's sizing, with hats, graphic tees and jerseys built around them.
Dates are the soft part. Sole Retriever's release calendar has the pack staggered through next month — Mera Mera on September 12, Ope Ope on September 19, Gomu Gomu on September 25 — but Nike has not confirmed a launch date publicly, and Sneaker News was still reporting "no firm release info" as recently as August 19.
Nothing is live yet. A search of nike.com today returns swimwear, not sneakers, so treat the September dates as tracker intel rather than gospel until SNKRS opens. Given how Nike handled the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 run, expect this one to land app-first.
