After resolving a copyright battle with USPS, the Air Force 1 Experimental "Postal Ghost" finally has an official release date.
Coming from Nike's experimental N. 354 division, the shoe's design takes inspiration from an unlikely source familiar to sneaker fans across the world - USPS‘ Priority Mail shipping boxes.
The shoe uses the familiar silhouette of the classic Air Force 1 style covered in a patterned foam coating to mirror parcel packaging. Reinforcing the theme, the back of the shoe features a sticker reminiscent of a packing label bearing the Nike branding and experimental N. 354 department.
The embroidered grey branding above the heel is flipped giving the appearance of folded packaging, matching a grey outer sole and lining. The moulded Swoosh on the side features stamped-looking red text tying in with the packing label on the heel.
The USPS-inspired Nike Air Force 1 Experimental “Postal Ghost” is now set to release in the US from Friday 28th May via Nike SNKRS, priced at $130.
