When two great British institutions join forces, we have no other choice than to remove our hats and stand in silence, as Palace Skateboards is finally linking up with Umbro for the second time with one goal in mind - creating the ultimate contemporary sportswear capsule that embodies the timeless spirit of y2k style.

Expanding on the duo’s FW22 excursion focused on sherbet-hued football tops, the latest delivery covers the traditional football warm up kit of track jackets and pants, plus piped crewneck sweatshirts and shorts - all presented in either navy, black or off white, with the flashes of vibrance arriving on two of the three Palace x Umbro team kits.

Acting as the central playmakers of the starting lineup, Palace and Umbro have drawn up three separate tops evoking the golden era of collectible football kits.

Both the away and goalie kits depict the same imagery found on flyers for cult Dreamscape warehouse raves of the 90’s, set against green laser graphics on the goalie top and cloud-scudded skies on the away shirt.

The home shirt best shows off Palace x Umbro’s chosen badge work, including number 7 at the rear and ”Palio” branding & custom crests at the front.

Completing the range are 6 panel caps, toques and two lengths of socks that all bear Palace x Umbro branding, intended to match the base themes present throughout the collection.

In addition to the collaboration with Umbro, Palace is also refreshing its “essentials” offering as part of its Spring ‘24 week 6 release, including full-zip hoodies with tonal print detailing, joined by equally laid back small Tri-Ferg sweatshirts and shorts, plus a range of functional hats, highlighted by denim GORE-TEX 6 panels.
