While we patiently wait to see what Supreme has in store for Fall/ Winter ‘24, UK-based artist Olaolu Slawn has teased what could potentially be the principle box logo design of the brand’s upcoming collection.

Supreme closed out its Summer ‘24 season last month and has since been in the headlines for the news it is being bought for $1.5 billion USD by Essilor Luxottica, a European corporation that previously solely focused on the eyewear industry.

It’s safe to assume that not much will change in terms of Supreme’s day-to-day and while chances of collaborations with brands like Oakley or Ray Ban have increased, one thing that is all but guaranteed, is the return of Supreme’s ubiquitous Box Logo t-shirt.

Hailing from Nigeria, Olaolu Slawn’s background is firmly rooted in skate design and after moving to London in 2018 to focus full-time on creating art, Slawn has developed a cartoonish style that has since been applied to viral, custom projects involving Louis Vuitton handbags and Rolex Datejusts.

Slawn (pictured above, right) also appeared in the campaign for Supreme’s Spring ‘21 collaboration with Nike - this paired with the artist’s connections to fellow Londoner Clint, who led a Corteiz x Supreme collaboration in December 2023 lead us to believe that his colourful Box Logo design could very well be real.

Slawn’s box logo shows the iconic seven letter word set against a vibrant background comprised of the artist’s clown-like graphic featured in many of hIs solo works. So far, the tee has surfaced in black and white, with rapper Central Cee spotted wearing a grey rendition.

It is currently unclear whether the collaboration is sanctioned. Expect more news to arrive when Supreme unveils its Fall/ Winter ‘24 collection in the coming weeks.
