ROA & Loro Piana Deliver $1.6k Hiking Shoes in Debut Collaboration

Loro Piana has collaborated with ROA on a trio of hiking shoes that blend the former’s textile expertise with the technical savvy of Italy’s premier gorp specialists.

The collaboration comes as a side dish for an expansive capsule collection from Loro Piana titled “Into the Wild” that besides the headline-worthy footwear, offers up various outdoor-focused articles constructed from the same fine wool, silk and cashmere that Loro Piana uses on its staple, everyday products.

Lending an equal level of luxury to ROA’s brutalist, low-cut trail sneaker, the collaboration sees the Katharina ditch its usual calf suede or kudu leather in favour of virgin wool outer panelling accented by split suede with a smidgen of silk spun into the uppers.

Considered detailing spills over to the stamped heel counter, contrasting leather collars and tongues, with Loro Piana branded pull tabs at the rear.

Available in three palettes of “nougat”, “rosemary” and “black”, the debut collaboration between ROA Hiking and Loro Piana is available now via Loropiana.com.
