Ronnie Fieg Unveils Latest Kith x Asics x Marvel Collaboration

Kith has now confirmed the release details for its latest project with Marvel and Asics, announcing that unlike last year’s “mystery box” release, those interested in copping the collaboration can choose which pairs to go for, with the Green Goblin GT-2160, Silver Surfer GEL-Kayano 14 and Magneto GEL-1130 all available for purchase as individual pairs.

Each design channels the supervillain suit colours of their respective namesake characters and come specially packaged in Kith x Marvel boxes that also house a collectible, PSA-graded comic book.

The Spider-Man & Venom GT-2160 are sold exclusively in a double box set.

Going all out in celebration of Marvel’s 85th anniversary, Kith has also lined up a collection of apparel and accessories that display vintage-style co-branding and character likenesses across jackets, knits, tees, hoodies and caps.

There’s also a healthy selection of homeware decorated with some of Marvel’s most prolific antagonists, featuring characters such as Doctor Octopus, Galactus, Dr. Doom and more on wall clocks, pins, posters and a chair.

Kith has even created a real-life version of the Silver Surfer’s metallic surfboard, made in partnership with the Australian surf experts at Haydenshapes.

The Kith x Marvel x Asics shoes are available now, via raffle entry on the Kith app.

Any remaining stock will drop alongside the apparel and accessories portion of the Kith x Marvel collaboration on Friday, August 9th at 11:00 am EST, available online and at Kith‘s physical locations.

When it comes to his beloved brand, Ronnie Fieg is something of a renaissance man.

Whether it’s enlisting the best screen actors around or attaching its name to luxury weed accessories, the Kith brand has no shortage of quality collaborations in its ever-growing vault and the latest to come from the mind of founder Ronnie Fieg is a sequel to last year’s three way link-up between Kith, Asics and Marvel and this time, it is the villains of the MCU that are receiving the shine.

Once again aiming to evoke feelings of nostalgia for those who grew up with a comic in their hands, the upcoming Kith x Asics x Marvel collaboration builds on the success of the initial, X-Men oriented release by fusing the oft-overlapping worlds of sneaker and comic book collection.

The collaboration comes just in time for the 85th anniversary of Marvel Comics and as such, celebrates five key figures from the publisher’s lineage.

The traditional super-suit colours of the Green Goblin, Silver Surfer, Magneto, Venom and Spider-Man have all been transposed onto respective Asics designs, spanning the GT-2160, GEL-KAYANO 14 and GEL-1130 models.

Despite being dubbed the “Marvel Super Villains” pack, fans will notice the ‘odd one out’ cameo from Spider-Man. Deducing from Ronnie Fieg’s Instagram post, it appears the white-red-blue gradient GT-2160 will be available in tandem with the contrasting ‘Venom’ pair, coming in a special, double-box package.

Attached to the designs are PSA-graded Kith x Marvel comic books that display the corresponding characters’ likenesses as a final touch for those who appreciate the finer details.
