Salomon x SlamJam Reflect the Mystique of Desert Lands in XT Quest Collaboration

Salomon have had a successful few years to say the least. Despite being a favourite of Ralph Lauren and Robin Williams before it was ‘cool’ to rock hiking sneakers on the street, the brand has firmly cemented itself as a major player in the shoe game through a perfect matrimony of form and function

When Salomon does choose to cooperate on a release, they pick only the worthiest of partners to take on any one of their trailblazers. The Broken Arm, jah jah and now for the second time SlamJam are all perfect examples of Salomon not vying for gimmicks, rather relying upon niche co-conspirators who share a love for a unique product.

Salomon and SlamJam’s latest collaboration comes in the form of a metallic XT Quest, releasing in conjunction with a takeover of Heim - an iconic Shanghai-based electronic music club for a multi-layered experience showcasing the shoe.

The duo’s previous outing drew on Mount Etna for its ashy appearance and for the latest work on the XT Quest, SlamJam looks to Arizona’s Painted Desert as its muse, which is characterised by sharp peaks and dusty colours, materialised in the bi-colour sensifit sole, to the colour gradient that reflects the spiritual journey that deserts can foster.

The Salomon x SlamJam will first launch on Thursday, November 2nd on SlamJam.com. Retail price is $225 USD.
