size? Reworks adidas’ Handball Spezial in Upcoming Exclusive Release

To the uninformed, it may seem that adidas originals have only enjoyed a moment over the past couple of years thanks to Wales Bonner’s work on the Samba but European shoe retailer size? knows that truthfully, the often suede-based, three-striped, flat-soled shoes have always been popping in the UK. 

adidas’ catalogue extends far beyond the humble Samba and while the style might be the eldest of stateshoes, the Handball Spezial is arguably more popular in the UK and in its latest exclusive commission, size? is giving the 45 year old model an overdue overhaul. 

Far from the plain black and white colourways that frequented handball courts back in the 80’s, size?’s two feature pack reworks the silhouette to utilise a hessian-esque upper material, joined by leather three stripes and back tabs, with suede panels completing the trio of textiles. 

Vibrant shades of purple, pink, yellow and blue are executed masterfully across the two colourways.
