The size? collaboration slate is already packed for the months ahead with plenty of exclusive releases in conjunction with New Balance, Nike and adidas, although one pair in particular is undoubtedly the most hyped due to its resemblance to another coveted adidas collaboration.
In 2022, adidas teamed up with a little known firm from the city of Florence, Italy named Gucci. Besides a shared love for loud retro-sporty graphics spanning numerous capsule collections, the duo released a litany of “Guccified” adidas originals footwear models, including over 20 colourways of the beloved adidas Gazelle, with many adopting plush velvet uppers in vibrant shades.
Evoking the luxury of adidas’ high fashion side quest, size? is bringing back velour Gazelles for 2024. A release date is currently TBD for the collaboration, but thanks to early images we can see both blue and green colourways in all their glory, with both pairs featuring velour uppers and mixed media stylings via the suede eyestays and leather 3-stripes & heel tabs.
