Sneakersnstuff and Adidas Originals Pay Homage to Tokyo With a New SNS GT

Following the release of the Adidas Originals x Sneakersnstuff GT "LA" in April, the Swedish retailer has revealed the next addition to its city pack, this time celebrating the concrete metropolis of Tokyo. Communicating its deep history through the '80s "Stockholm GT" shoe, the duo has chosen to outfit the silhouette in purple and white tones reminiscent of the city's official flag.

Designed in collaboration with costume stylist Keisuke Baba and animation artist Jun Inagawa, the pair draws inspiration from the city's vibrant football culture along with strong UK influences. The SNS GT "Tokyo" arrives with a long-haired nubuck upper, white leather three-stripes emblems at the medials and "SNS GT" gold foil branding above.

Tonal leather perforated tongues and polished heel tabs are decorated with gilded Adidas marks, while mismatched insoles don hefty graphics designed by Jun Inagawa. Darkened gum Handball Spezial outsoles bring the design to a close, fusing archival elements through a modern lens.

The Sneakersnstuff x Adidas Originals SNS GT “Tokyo” is available via pre-order on the SNS mobile app now, closing on June 10th. Pairs will also be available for purchase at SNS Tokyo for $119.
