Stüssy and Born x Raised Honour Chris “Spanto” with Collaborative Capsule

In honour of Chris “Spanto” Printup - founder of Born x Raised and respected figure in the L.A streetwear scene, the brand he left behind is teaming up with Stüssy for a charitable collection that commemorates the life of Spanto, with all proceeds being donated to his family.

The collection is rooted in the DNA of both brands, which from a design standpoint has often run parallel. Big and bold graphics feature on tees, a hockey jersey, hoodie and cap, with artwork resembling graffiti styles evocative of Spanto and co-founder 2Tone’s handiwork. 

The graffiti memo spills over onto another tee and beach towel, where the iconic 8-ball motif resides alongside BxR’s gothic lettering. 

Finally, a duo of items presumably exclusive to BxR, include an engraved zippo that denotes various locations close to the hearts of both brands and a fitted New Era hat with “L.A” on the front and “Born x Raised” spelt across the back in Stüssy’s swirly aesthetic.

As reported by Stüssy itself, all profits from the collaborative capsule will be donated to the late Spanto’s family.

The range will be available first from Stüssy’s webstore at 10:00 a.m EST, preceding a drop later in the day on Born x Raised at 15:00 p.m EST.
