Supreme Reveal Sporty Lifestyle Martine Rose Collection, Dropping This Week

Supreme has revealed its first ever collaboration with self-titled UK menswear brand Martine Rose, releasing as part of the ongoing Fall Winter 24 season from this Thursday 12th September.

Martine Rose has become a greatly influential figure in contemporary menswear since debuting her first full runway collection in 2012, infusing lifestyle clothing with sportswear influences in rich textiles and colours, creating a modern androgynous feel.

Martine describes being deeply shaped by the melting pot of cultural influences in London, including an emphasis on individuality and personal taste:

“I had this broad sense of clothing being associated with different nights and different scenes. I had a precocious experience of dance and music culture and how they affected the clothes. It wasn’t fashion. My family’s Jamaican, and there was a very, very particular respect for style. Fashion was something… almost basic; if you had style, that was something else.”

The collection features nods to Carribean cultural staples including a whistle and lanyard in Carnival festival colours plus a t-shirt honouring Jamaican music icon Lee Scratch Perry.

The full collection consists of a Leather Jacket and Pant, Down Puffer Jacket, Reversible Denim Trucker Jacket and Denim Cargo Pant, Velour Track Jacket and Pant, Suit, Sweater, Shirt, Football Jersey, S/S Top, two Hooded Sweatshirts, two T-Shirts, 6-Panel, Mini Duffle Bag, Scarf, Lanyard, Stash Can and Clarks Originals® Desert Trek.

Supreme and Martine Rose have also produced a 44-page black-and-white photo zine documenting the collection. All profits from the zine will be donated to St. Giles Trust – a UK based charity helping people affected by homelessness, substance abuse or violence transform their lives and make meaningful positive change.
