As part of their ongoing Summer 2026 season, South Korean streetwear brand thisisneverthat have cooked up a festival-ready new capsule collection paying homage to The Grateful Dead’s and their iconic dancing bears, launching from 9th April.

Formed in 1965, The Grateful Dead have one of the most devoted fanbases in music, known as “Deadheads”. The colourful marching bears were originally designed for their 1973 album History of the Grateful Dead, Volume 1 (Bear's Choice) and has since become one of the most recognisable graphics in music history, with bear merch becoming highly collectible among fans.

Highlights of the collection include the dancing bear design on the GD Ol' Dancing Bears Jacket, constructed from a patchwork-pattern jacquard fabric with embroidered patch detailing throughout.

The GD Ol' Dancing Bears Hoodie and Washed Sweatshort set references the "Deadhead" fanbase with a floral skull graphic printed within metal-style lettering.

More subtle references feature on the GD Lightning Bear Check Shirt or Iconography tee, with tonal graphics stitched onto the front shirt pocket or digitally printed all over the t-shirt.

The colourful crew of dancing bears feature on lowkey casual basics including the GD Dancing Bears Tee, a cotton poplin relaxed fit GD Ol' Dancing Bears Pant and a set of GD Ol' Dancing Bears Caps.

The thisisneverthat x The Grateful Dead collection releases in stores and online as part of their ongoing Spring Summer 2026 season from 9th April 9pm EST, 10th April 10am KST.
