Union LA x Air Jordan 2 "Future Is Now" Collection Revealed

Following the "Passport Pack" Dunk Low release, Chris Gibbs and his team at Union LA are preparing for another epic launch, now choosing to highlight the Air Jordan 2. With much anticipation, the Los Angeles-based retailer has revealed its "Future Is Now" collection, which includes an assortment of footwear, apparel and accessories.

The Air Jordan 2 "Rattan" and "Grey Fog" are focal points as they receive perforated suede and canvas uppers accompanied by gold, tan, grey and blue detailing. These are inspired by airway outfits while the collaborative slides feature nylon straps and a speckled sole.

Inspired by the future, the clothing range includes co-branded nylon cardigans, matching pants, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, tees, shorts, socks and hats, all sporting the same color palette as the kicks.

"For the Future Is Now capsule, we wanted to juxtapose what some futuristic gear might look like after it has been worn and patina’d. So often you see people’s vision of the future and [it's] all crisp and sterile. We thought it might be fun to wear it in a little bit and make it organic…,” Union states.

The "Future Is Now" campaign aims to highlight the individuals and organizations helping to create our future Utopia in the Los Angeles area.

For a chance to purchase, Union LA will be raffling off the Air Jordan 2s on April 9th and 10th at its La Brea location in Los Angeles. The Air Jordan 2 “Rattan” will be a Union LA exclusive and the “Grey Fog” will launch globally on April 22nd. The capsule collection will drop on April 15th in-store and online.
