WTAPS Tackles Hoka Slides + Trail Runners in Debut Collaboration

Joining Hoka’s exclusive club of collaborators, the next streetwear entity to lend its artistic license to the comfiest trail running shoes on the market is OG Japanese firm WTAPS.

WTAPS footwear collabs rarely extend past the elusive New Balance or Vans releases that never fail to sell-out, and if past exploits are any indication, WTAPS upcoming work on Hoka’s Ora Luxe and Anacapa models aren’t long for the stockrooms.

Fitting in with WTAPS “standard issue” aesthetic that is heavily influenced by militaria, both models featured in the project adopt either black or olive green bases, with minimal branding on the Anacapa, where the luxe version of Hoka’s Ora recovery slide is decorated with bone motifs on the straps and a WTAPS logo mid-foot.

One familiar design note carried over from previous WTAPS footwear exploits is the bright orange pull tab that sits at the heel of the Gore-Tex Anacapa low.

The WTAPS x Hoka capsule will be available via raffle on WTAPS website. Entries close on May 22nd at 12PM JST.
