Chanel's 26B Pre-Collection Hits Boutiques — Blazy Shrinks His Sell-Out Maxi Flap

Chanel's 26B Pre-Collection — the first boutique drop of the Fall-Winter 2026 season — is arriving in stores now, and it's the clearest look yet at where Matthieu Blazy is taking the house's bag line before the main runway collection lands in September.

The headline move: Blazy's sell-out Maxi Flap has been scaled down. The new Mini Flap keeps the flat vintage-style quilting and leather-interwoven chain of the original at a compact 5.1 x 7.9 x 2.4 inches, in suede (Dark Brown, Dark Beige, Dark Gray, Blue) or a stripped-back grained calfskin version (Black, Beige, White, Light Green) that swaps the chain for a slim leather strap.

The Classic 11.12 gets its own tweak — smaller-scale diamond quilting applied more densely across black lambskin for a noticeably puffier texture, plus a chevron version in lipstick Red calfskin. The Chanel 25 returns in seasonal fabrications from Red jersey to washed denim and shearling, and the supporting cast runs deep: patchwork-suede retro flaps, sequined evening pieces, a suede Backpack, slouchy bucket bags, and a glossy black plexiglass Minaudière shaped like a Flap Bag.

Boutique stock is the story here — 26B is how Blazy's designs go from waitlist rumor to something you can actually walk in and buy. If the Maxi Flap's sellout run is any guide, the minis won't sit long.
